Diary of a Slave
Today you will pretending to be a slave during the time of the Underground Railroad.
1- First watch the video that shows an old slave song that would actually give directions to slaves that were trying to escape slavery by moving North on the Underground Railroad.
2- Open Google Drive a document. Then write a diary entry pretending you are a slave escaping on the Underground Railroad. You must include some fact about Harriet Tubman, some fact about the Underground Railroad, as well as your feelings as a runaway slave. You need to tell whether you are with your family or alone. You need to give your age and your plan to get to the north. This must be written with correct spelling, grammar, and writing mechanics such as capitals and punctuation.
