New groups and organizations often have a charter that gives guidelines for the group. It states what they will do, how they will go about accomplishing the task and and rules they need to follow.
Here is what the beginning of the charter granted to the Virginia Company of London looked like:

Here are some rules that they need to follow: be respectful on your journey to plants,animals, and people, to make the world a better place by not littering, and most of all have fun on your journey!

DeleteIf I abt were to grant a charter to the all stars I would say that there would be a group of girls. They would get to be Mrs.Lanes helpers. And every day after school they would get a giant stuffed animal of their choice, they would get paid 1,000,000 dollars every time they helped Mrs.Lane. And of course Mrs.Lane would have infinity dollars!

DeleteI E.C.B of All Star Lane I declare that we should stay in school for 8 hours not six. Also we should only study math just because math is awesome. Then we should have more field trips those seem to be fun. Also i'm reversing the grade system. F means fabulous,D is for delightful,C is for cool,B is for brilliant,A is for awful. This is the end of this charter.

DeleteI amm think that we should change the order of the subjects we do. First we should put math first because math is most important subject and takes the longest. We shall do science last because it takes the least amount of time and of course I HATE science! Also I get permission to skip art forever. Back to order of subjects we should put rotations in the middle. Now this is my charter.

I Declare we can chose wear we want to sit for lunch.Girls will get to play for 30 min. and boys for 1 min.we will get to have our own indoor cyclone and don't forget we go home at 1:00 instead of 3:00

ReplyDeleteIf I could sign a charter the beginning would be like this ,I declare the new rules for mis Lane's class to be, get in a supper line faster. You would also work harder and be more quiet. No more talking during test. To be nice and kind, like helping somebody up if they fall and not back talking mis L.
