I think the colony needed a government because they wouldn't have rules and laws. like when Captain John Smith became leader he made a forced work program. That meant if you don't work you don't eat. That policy really helped Jamestown survive. So if they didn't have government they would NOT be able to establish laws and rules.
ReplyDeleteI think the colony needed a government to lead it because if the didn't they would just go make their own rules, and that could turn out bad. They would make their own rules and make bad choices. I feel like the government should have been organized by the Virginia House of Burgesses didn't have to be men who owned land, it could be women who did not have to own land.

DeleteI think that the colony needed a government because they need to have a working plain.It would be bad, they wouldn't have a plain on what they do.It should be very organized to plan it all out.
ReplyDeleteI think it needed a government to have rules and laws. If they didn't have a government it would get to CRAZY and the colony would more than likely NOT survive. I would also think that if the government should be arranged with a meeting once a week with the Governor and a few colonists to help the colony [Jamestown].

DeleteI think they needed a government because it could be more dissension can be made together. It should be organized like the meting should be every other day. If they would not had done they would not have had such a good world until it got bad.
ReplyDeleteI think that they needed government because the government made rules and laws that helped the colony survive.So if they did not have government they would not survive.And that would be bad.Because the whole point of their journey would be ruined because the point was to survive and create a new colony and that would be lame if they traveled all that way and then just died after a couple of weeks
ReplyDeleteI think that the colony needed government because if they didn't, no one would know who to listen to, or who was making the laws. If the colony did not have a government, it probably would have fallen into chaos and never have survived.

I think why the people need a government is the laws,rules,and so they can make money.Jest think about it no government no money,no land.
ReplyDeleteIf they didn't have a government they would've went BIZARRE!And they would be in big trouble.If the people chose the governor and the governor's council they might have not fought.
ReplyDeleteI think the colony needed a government because people would just do whatever they wanted and it would be a disaster! They would fall apart this guy would take a bunch of people to battle the Indians,or sail back to England with all the food.They need a leader and government to keep them from doing the wrong thing.I think the government should be organized by the most determined worker that always takes orders and does them right.But everyone has to agree,so there should be an election to see if everyone agrees.They need to pick someone to save Jamestown.
