Jack Jouett saved Thomas Jefferson and the important Va government officials because he rode 40 miles on his horse to Charlottesville to warn Thomas Jefferson that the British were coming to capture him!

James was a African American spy who defeated Cornwalis and got freed. Jack Jouett saved Thomas Jefferson by going through the dirt path made by the Indians but it was covered in thorns and bristles. he traveled on his horse and saved many lives that day. Thats why he is famous

ReplyDeleteJames Armistead Lafayette was a slave who received permission from his master to enlist in the patriot army. He was a very successful spy. In fact, he did so well that the loyalists not only suspected nothing, they trusted him as their own spy! Being trusted like this allowed him to get the important information needed to win the war! In return he earned his freedom for helping the patriots.
