  4. When the moon orbits around the Earth it causes the moon stages. There are eight phases of the moon. The first phase is the New Moon. Then it goes through the rest of the stages and comes back to the New Moon,and it starts over.

  5. I learned there are many different phases. I will name some there is Full Moon,Half Moon. Also the Moon is not making its own light. The sun is the one shining on the Moon and makes the Moon shine bright at night.

    Waxing is getting bigger, waning is getting smaller.
    The northern hemisphere's moon cycle is opposite the southern hemisphere's.
